Millions of Android Phones are Vulnerable to a Snapdragon Security Flaw

Researchers have found more than 400 code vulnerabilities in the digital signal processors in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips according to a blogpost by Check Point.

It is estimated that about 40% of the phone market contains Qualcomm processors, including devices from Google, LG, and OnePlus.

This flaw nicknamed “Achilles” allows attackers to monitor locations and listen to audio in real time.

According to Qualcomm, there is no evidence that these vulnerabilities are currently being exploited however it is recommended that users keep their phone software up to date.
